A Few Little House Rules
Every charming cottage has a few house rules, and ours are simply here to help ensure that each guest enjoys a peaceful, comfortable, and memorable stay.
Before you arrive, please take a moment to become acquainted with our cottage policies.
We appreciate your thoughtfulness and kindness in helping us care for this special little place.
Reservations and Payment
Guests must be at least 21 to reserve a room. We require a valid credit card and a deposit equal to the first night’s room charge plus tax. The remaining balance is due at check-in. Your confirmation lists your dates, room type, rate, and applicable taxes.
Check-In and Check-Out
Check-in begins at 4 p.m., and check-out is by 11 a.m. Please contact us beforehand if you expect to arrive later. Early check-in and late check-out depend on availability and may require an additional charge.
Cancellations and Reservation Changes
Cancel or change a standard reservation at least 72 hours before your scheduled arrival to receive a deposit refund. Later cancellations and missed arrivals forfeit the deposit.
Cottage Occupancy
The Cottage offers sleeping accommodations for up to five guests, with a king bed in the primary bedroom and a full-sized bed and twin bed in the upstairs loft.
Quiet Hours
Quiet hours run from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Please keep conversations, music, and television volume at a reasonable level.
Smoking and Pets
Smoking and vaping are prohibited inside rooms, on exterior walkways, and around the hot tub. A designated smoking area is available away from guest entrances. A $250 cleaning charge applies to smoking violations. We do not accommodate pets.
Hot Tub Rules
Towels are provided with your accommodations. Hot tub use is at your own risk. Posted rules must be followed including children being supervised by an adult at all times.
Kitchen Use
The cottage provides a fully-equipped kitchen. Please wash used dishes and switch off the cooktop after use. Outdoor grills and portable burners are not allowed on the property.
Parking
The property offers generous parking for several vehicles, with additional space for an RV or boat trailer.
Accessibility
We are not handicapped compliant, but are in accordance with Kentucky regulations as we are a single residence situated on private property. Every entrance involves navigating at least three steps and features handrails. We invite guests with mobility concerns to reach out to us with any inquiries regarding the layout.
Damage and Additional Cleaning
Please report maintenance concerns or accidental damage promptly so we can address them. Guests are responsible for missing items, damage beyond ordinary wear, and excessive cleaning. Any applicable charges are documented and billed to the card on file. We may end stays involving serious or repeated policy violations.
For Our Guests with Sensitive Ears
Occasionally our neighbors safely target shoot with guns & this can sound alarming. We will hopefully alert you if they let us know ahead of time but this is not a guarantee.
